We are a local unit of state government. The Iosco Conservation District develops strategies, implements programs, and provides the technical assistance to protect and enhance the land and water resources of our county.
We are here to provide education and support to our community. We will answer your natural resource related questions, our Forester will visit your land and give management advice, and we will be sponsoring educational outreach events on subjects that matter to you, the land owner. (Click on Events to view our calendar)
We have an 80 acre tract of forest that is currently under various types of management. You will soon be able to observe this property to see what these management styles may look like on your land. Our hope for this area is that it will become a public recreation and education area with trails for hiking and cross country skiing. s.
